Protective Covenants of
the Callaway Lakes Homeowners Association (CLHOA), Clause II,
paragraphs 1 and 3 were written to control the building of
outside structures to maintain a harmonious and attractive
neighborhood.
Numerous structures
including out buildings, fences, antennas, etc, have been
erected without first obtaining approval of the Architectural
Control Committee (ACC) as per the covenants. Many of these
structures do not meet the intent of the covenants and detract
Attendees at the 2008
homeowners meeting unanimously voted for the Homeowners Board of
Directors and the ACC to more stringently enforce these
covenants. A survey is currently being conducted to identify
all properties on which have been erected any of the regulated
structures without the approval of the ACC or Homeowners Board
of Directors. Each structure will be reviewed on a case-by-case
basis to determine if that structure is in violation of the
covenants. Recommendations for remedy or removal will be
provided to the appropriate homeowners.
It is our goal to
protect the value of all of our investments in Callaway Lakes
Subdivision by complying with the Protective Covenants. From
this time forward, all structures must be pre-approved by the
ACC. The covenants can be viewed and downloaded here covenants.pdf.
